Age: approximately 8 years old - Weight: six pounds - Breed: Yorkie

I was orphaned at a very young age and learned to live on the streets. After getting in with the wrong crowd, I was picked up by the dog catcher in Bakersfield, CA. I was a pitiful looking sight, my hair was long, dirty and tangled, and I hadn’t bathed in weeks. Let’s face it, I smelled. In my deepest despair, alone and cold in the kennel cell a miracle happened. I was rescued and given a new home in Tehachapi, CA with 7 other rescued canine brothers and sisters and 6 rescued feline cousins. With my new start in life, I was able to shine and through my celebrity, help other animals in need .

Experience: Poster dog for local animal rescues.

Starring role, Oscar Finds A Home – Way West Productions, Documentary

Training: Studied acting at the boot of Jack Palance.

Temperament: I was a clingy pooch, probably due to being lost on the streets of Bakersfield. But after years of tender loving care, I have become a different dog, and now I’m outgoing and friendly. I will jump into almost anyone’s lap. I’m submissive most of the time. However, I hold a grudge against one person for teasing and scaring me when I was new to the family, and I vow not to forget it no matter how many dog biscuits the guy offers.

Special Traits: I do my own stunts. I’m extremely agile. I can climb and jump four foot fences, squeeze through the smallest space and have been known to do a double front-footed paw stand when I go potty.

Photo model: It was a surprise to everyone that I would stay put when asked to. Admittedly, there are times when I got so bored that I walked out on the job or went to sleep. But most of the time, I sit and pose when asked.

Camping: I fell in love with camping my first trip, and have threatened my adopted parents that they better not ever leave me at home with the house sitter—or else! At meal time I’ve learned to refuse to eat dog food because I know something better is coming off the grill and that if I act pitiful enough, I’ll get some.
