Souvenir de la Malmaison – Bourbon

Originated 1843

Bears quartered, creamy pink, very large flowers with many petals. A cross between ‘Mme Desprez’ and an unknown tea rose from which it gets its fragrance. Overhead watering is not recommended as the blooms do not like dampness. There are many versions of how this rose was named. It means Remembrance of Malmaison, Empress Josephine’s famous rose garden.
